New Delhi: Nancy Gupta, the 23 year old model and a former flight attendant from Shimla who is pursuing a course in business administration (MBA), was crowned Miss North India 2012 at a beauty pageant here at a glittering function yesterday evening.
Nancy was declared winner after beating 16 other finalists in a tough five round competition.
On winning the beauty contest, an beaming Nancy said, “It is a very special moment for me that will stay with me for a long time. Now I am going to ambush an opportunity in Bollywood as an actress.”
Alisha Farrer, a Delhi girl was first runner up and Shweta Soni from Jaipur was declared second runner up.
The 16 finalists for the pageant were shortlisted after audition conducted at Delhi, Jaipur, Dehradun, Shimla, Chandigarh and other cities in north India.
