Himachal increases Creamy Layer limit

Shimla:
According to a report submitted by K.C. Sood, Chairman Himachal Pradesh Other Backward Classes Commission, in conjunction with other Members to Chief Minsiter, Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal, the limit of the creamy layer has been increased to Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum from the existing Rs. 2.5 lakh for the OBCs.

This report has come up as a matter of great delight to the beneficiaries.

The term “creamy layer” is used to refer to the relatively wealthier and better educated members of the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) who are not eligible for government sponsored educational and professional benefit programs.

Raised in Shimla and originally from Mandi district, Disha wears many caps which includes being part of a lead team of a fast growing IT company based out of Chandigarh. Earlier Disha was associated with My Himachal and visits Shimla regularly.
