Shimla: Heavy rain lashed many parts of Himachal Pradesh as south-west monsoon remained active in the state during
last 24 hrs.
Amb of Una district and Pachhad of Sirmour experienced highest rain of 120 mm each followed by Ghamroor in Bilaspur 101mm. In Kangra district, Palampur received 109 mm ranifall, Kasol 91 mm, Dehra Gopipur 81mm, Baijnath 78mm, Mehre 75mm, Nagrota Suriyan & Guler 62mmeach, Dharamshala 43 mm and Nurpur 33 mm.
In Hamirpur district, Jhandutta received 93 mm, Berthin 60 mm, Bhoranj & Nadaun 50 mm each, Sujanpur Tira 46 mm, Kahu 43mm, Hamirpur town 35mm.
In Bilaspur, Ghumarwin recorded 44 mm rainfall and Naina Devi 30mm. In Mandi distirct Jogindernagar received 31mm rain, Aghar 28 mm, Karsog 20mm and Gohar 8 mm.
In Sirmour district, Nahan registered 49 mm rainfall, Sangrah 29mm, Rajgarh 13mm.
The Met Office forecast rain or thundershowers at many places and warned of moderate to heavy rainfall at isolated places in the state during the next 24 hrs.
