Shimla: Vendors of HP Tele Infrastructure Association held a demonstration outside the Reliance Communication office for non-payment of bills due from the company.
OP Nirala, secretary of the association said, “we have only called of the dharna after senior executives gave us an assurance of meeting out the payments within three weeks.â€
The company has been evading paying about Rs 25 crore worth of bills over a six month period backlog, said Nirala.
We have worked on getting the company to roll out telephony services in the state and have set up the towers for it, he said.
About 25 vendors involved in the business were part of the demonstration held on Wednesday.
Repeated attempts to contact the company failed to get a response.
