Paris, April 4 (IANS/EFE) Marilyn Manson is the new male face of Saint Laurent’s “Music Project”, a campaign that features musicians wearing iconic pieces from the French fashion house’s collection, Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane said.
Manson is following in the steps of other musicians, such as Ty Segall and Daft Punk, and will help select the music for fashion shows.
The singer was the first to reveal his new role at Saint Laurent, posting a black-and-white portrait on Twitter in which he appears serious, in heavy make-up and wearing a leather jacket.
Saint Laurent said its relationship with rockers started in 1971, when Yves Saint Laurent dressed Mick and Bianca Jagger for their wedding in Saint Tropez.
