Himachal gets a helping hand from Centre and Japan Bank

Shimla: Narender Bragta, Technical Education Minister, after meeting with top officials of Human Resource Development Ministry at New Delhi stated that Central Government has sanctioned Rs. 61.50 crore for technical education in Himachal Pradesh and revealed that this amount has been sanctioned for setting up Polytechnic Colleges at Lahaul Spiti, Kinnaur, Sirmour, Bilaspur and Kullu. He added that a sum of rupees 12.30 crore has been sanctioned for creating infrastructure and other facilities for each Polytechnic College and these Colleges will be made functional during eleventh plan period.

Conversely, while addressing a mammoth Public Meeting at Naura, in Palampur Sub-Division, Kangra, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, said that Japan Bank of International Cooperation is to finance Rs. 500 crore for organic fertilizer project in the State.
