Dehra Dun : The portals of the Badrinath shrine, one of the most revered temples of the country, located in Garhwal division of Uttarakhand will be open on April 26 at 5-15 a m after traditional prayers, for the public for the coming season.

After prayers in the early hours of Saturday, Acharya Krishna Prasad Uniyal made the announcement of the date of the opening of the revered shrine, after traditional prayers to Lord Ganesh and studying of the ‘panchang’ and the birth horoscope of Manujeyandra Shah, the scion of the erstwhile Tehri rajya, at the Narendra Nagar palace.
Besides being one of the most revered places of shrine in the country which is visited by lakhs of pilgrims annually, Badrinath also figures in the Royal Garhwal Rifles. “Bol Badri Vishal ki jai’, is the war cry of the men of the Garhwal Rifles when they take upon their adversaries during war.
