Though the weatherman had forecast rain and thunder showers in Himachal for Sunday, only Shimla and Kinnaur got some relief from the rising temperatures. In most other parts of of the state the weather was hot.
Shimla did get some rain, sprinkled with hail that brought some relief on Sunday afternoon, the morning today was breeze and stormy before it settled down as the morning wore on. Higher reaches of Kinnaur experienced light snowfall on Sunday but Una was hot, recording the day’s high at 39.4 degrees Celsius.
Shimla on Sunday recorded a high of 27.5 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar was 31.1 C, Kalpa 21.6 C, Dharamshala was 27.8 C, Nahan recorded 35.8 C, Solan 33.6 C, Hamirpur 37.8 C, Mandi recorded 32.7 C and at Kangra the day’s high was 36.3 degrees Celsius.
