Jaipur: HIV-affected children under the care of Rays, an NGO that provides shelter, education and other facilities to them, staged a play on environment here.
The play, “The Last Ultimatum”, was held at Ravindra Manch here Monday, said Captain Gurinder Virk, one of the founders and president of Rays.
“This (play) was the result of 20 days of theatre workshop by Rays and Tamhankar Theatre Academy,” an official of the NGO said.
“It (workshop) was a small initiative by Rays which focused on exploration and development of invaluable theatrical skills that tend to lie undeveloped as long as they are not refined by an experienced hand,” the official said.
Managing director of State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur Shiva Kumar was the event’s guest of honour.
The play was a satire on the dubious lifestyle of man and depicted his paradoxical, selfish and careless attitude towards nature.
