Four dead, 4 injured in Himachal road accident

Shimla: Four persons died and another four were injured in a road accident on Monday afternoon in Shimla district when a vehicle lost control and rolled down the hill.

The dead included Narayan (42), Dulchi (55), Ramesh Chand (36) AND Dalip (36). Those injured included Balbir (30), Vikas (26) Kuldeep Sharma (30 and driver Naresh Kumar (28).

The accident of the Tata Sumo vehicle (HR-31A-0934) occurred at about 12.30 near Neri in Shimla district,” said Rajeshwar Singh, the investigating officer in the case. The injured have been shifted to state hospital IGMC at Shimla, he added.

Cause of the accident was being investigated, said Singh. Meanwhile the police have registered as case under sections 279, 337 and 304A of Indian Penal Code.
