Govt. to hold a national Seminar for fruit growers

Narender Bragta, the Horticulture Minister said that a two day long National Seminar would be organized by National Horticulture Board for fruit growers of the State. The seminar would be held at Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, district Solan in the last week of May.

He added that common problems of the fruit growers of Himachal Pradesh, Uttranchal, Arunachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir would be discussed. The recommendations of the Conference of Ministers would be referred to the National Horticulture Board for Government of India for solutions. He further said that the principal objective of holding the seminar and the conference is to strengthen the economic base of fruit growers besides providing them self employment avenues.
