Dhumal meets with Shanta on eve of Himachal election results

PALAMPUR: Mr. Prem Kumar Dhumal, former Chief Minister and BJP leader today called on former union minister and All India Vice President of BJP leader Shanta Kumar at his residence here today. Mr. Dhumal drived state way to Palampur from Hamirpur this evening to have some serious political discussion with the Mr. Shanta Kumar regarding formation of new government day after at Shimla on the eve election results.

Both the leaders held confidential talks for about an hour. There was none present except Mr Shanta Kumar and Dhumal. However, neither Mr. Dhumal nor Mr Shanta Kumar interacted with the media persons who were assembled in large number outside the residence of Mr. Shanta Kumar. Both tried to avoid the media.

BJP sources told myHimachal news that main agenda of the meeting was formation of new government and names of possible ministers in the Prem Kumar Dhumal’s cabinet which would sworn at Shimla on December 29. It is also learnt that Mr Dhumal extended invitation to Mr. Shanta Kumar to accompany him to Shimla after the declaration of assembley results on December 29 give him his blessing for the successful completion of election process in the state. Mr Dhumal also stated that BJP had given a united fight to congress in the assembly elections to congress.

Mr. Dhumal also clarified that there was no dissension in BJP and with the cooperation and blessing of Shanta Kumar BJP would serve the people of the state in better way. He also stated that he would not adopt vindictive or prejudice approach like Vir Bhadara Singh, no one in the state would be harassed unnecessarily. Besides, he would not launch political vendetta against his opponents. However Mr Dhumal said that his crusade against corruption would continue and no one would be spared.

He also stated that BJP government would have media friendly approach. Press accreditation and recognization rules would be amended in accordance with the suitability to the journalists working in the state. Senior journalists all over the state would be inducted into press accreditation and press advisory committee of the state government. He said the policies of the BJP government would transparent .
