Shimla: Food, Civil Supply and Consumers Affair Minister, Ramesh Dhawala, today asked the officers of the department over an official meeting of the department to ensure proper and regular supply of Gas Cylinders to the consumers of the State.
He said that supply of domestic cylinders was being interrupted by suppling same cylinders to commercial sector like hotels, dhabas and tea shop instead of commercial cylinders, which is illegal and should be curtailed immediately.
All the District Controllers, Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affair and oil companies’ officers are directed by the minister to ensure that only commercial gas cylinders are used in hotels, dhabas and tea shops in their areas and strict actions to be taken against the accused as per rules for violating the rules.
