Mumbai, May 13 (IANS) Chitrangada Singh woke up on Saturday morning to headlines and television reports claiming she had obtained a divorce by “mutual consent” with her golfer husband Jyoti Randhawa. But the actress denies the report completely.
Clarifying exclusively with the writer, she says: “It’s not true. There’s a mistake there (in the news report). There’s no truth to this.”
While pursuing a film career, Chitrangada has been dividing her time between Mumbai and Delhi and rumours and reports of a rift between the couple have been floating around for some years now. They have a young son together.
A friend of the actress says: “Such speculation is a part and parcel of all long-distance marriages.”
With Chitrangada vehemently denying the fresh crop of divorce reports, it remains to be seen how the couple steer their marriage away from the speculation of trouble.
