Sikhs of Nahan town took out a protest march here today to protest against Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Baba Gurmit Ram Rahim who according to them dressed like tenth Guru Shri Govind Singh Ji and claimed to administer Amrit Sanchar with a changed name as ‘Jam E Insan’. Protesters also submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Sirmour demanding immediate arrest of Dera Chief.
Sikhs assembled at Chaugan ground today on the call given by the local Sikh organizations and started protest march from Gurudwara towards office of Deputy Commissioner Sirmour. Angry protesters brandishing swords in the air were raising slogans against Baba Ram Rahim.
Protesters were demanding registration of a case and arrest of Dera chief for his act. They were shouting slogans and alleging that Dera Chief had hurt feelings of Sikhs and shown disrespect to Gurumat. Protesters submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh through Deputy Commissioner Sirmour. In absence of Deputy Commissioner, Mrs Rakhil Kahlon, ADM Sirmour received the memorandum from the Sikh delegation. In the memorandum Sikhs have demanded that state government should expedite and mount pressure on the Union government, government of Punjab and Haryana as well to register cases against the Dera Chief and arrest him immediately.
