Shimla: Vigilance and anti-corruption bureau on Sunday arrested Latesh Mahlotra, chief engineer HP State Electricity Board, Dharmashala and a contractor, Sanjeev Chibber, on corruption charges after conducting a raid, senior vigilance officers disclosed.
SR Mardi, IG vigilance disclosed that Rs 4.25 lakhs was recovered from Mahlotra’s residence in a raid conducted by team lead by Diwakar Sharma, SP vigilance.
Both the arrested persons will be produced in court on Monday, said Mardi.
Cases under Secion 7 and 13(2) under prevention of corruption act have been registered against them, he said.
