V.S. Kokje, Governor of Himachal Pradersh has stressed the need to educate masses especially the youth about latest advancements in the field of forensic science technology. He was interacting with scientists and forensic experts of H.P. State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) Junga today.
He said that awareness among the masses can be helpful for preserving evidences and protecting the scene of crime before the arrival of Police and forensic experts. He advised that awareness camps and lectures about forensic scientific methods should be arranged at school and college level to educate the students.
He said that forensic science is only a way to find truth and is not witness in favour of prosecution or defence. He said that chemical examinations of forensic science laboratories play very important role in providing justice to the people in courts and help police and judiciary to prosecute the actual criminals.
Governor also visited the various wings of the State Forensic Science Laboratory. He said that State Forensic Science laboratory is pride of the State. He appreciated the quality of examinations and high standards of scientific methods adopted in the State of Art Laboratory.
