Manali: Police in Kullu valley made a breakthrough within 24 hours in the gang rape case of a 25 year old Israeli woman by arresting two persons and also recovering the vehicle in which the crime was committed.
Punit Raghu, the deputy superintended police Manali working with station house officer KD Sharma cracked the case after scanning close circuit television networks (CCTV) by zeroing down on the suspicious vehicle HP-34B-0786, in which the crime was allegedly committed on early Sunday morning.
The vehicle has been recovered and two accused Akshay, son of Virender Rana and Pankaj Sharma, son of Rameshwar Sharma, residents of Shastri Nagar, Kullu have been arrested, a police spokesman stated.
Police have also launched a manhunt for the other four, who were in the vehicle when the foreign tourist was raped.
