Shimla: The annual one of its kind race, Hero MTB Shimla 2016 was flagged off from Hotel Woodville. This two day race will cover a total distance of over 120 kms, passing through wobbly single tracks, rickety roads and scenic meadows.
Mohit Sood, the President of HASTPA, the organiser of the event said “With the ever increasing population of Indian riders in the country, we initiated this separate venture of Hero MTB Shimla 2016 to foster this growing interest and are glad to see so many people evolving their passion for cycling over the years.”
“Being a man in olive green uniform, I sense a similarity between soldiers and mountain bikers, both are fuelled with passion and battle fighting factors,”” said Brigadier S K Lama, chief guest of the function.
