Three feared drowned as car falls into Beas River

Shimla: Three persons are feared dead after a car carrying five persons lost control and fell into Beas River in the late morning hours today. Two passengers were rescued and are reported to be safe.

“A car  (Innova Toyota brand  with No HP 01 K 3721) that was cruising along the Mandi-Kullu highway fell into the river at Aut, near Hanogi Mata shrine, at about 10 a.m.”  a district police official said. There were five persons in the car and two have been rescued. The others are feared to have drowned because neither have they been rescued nor have their bodies been recovered so far, said the police officer.
