“Candidates would be informed about acceptance of payments over email and SMS after every transaction,” said Tomar adding that the new process would enhance transparency.
Punjab National Bank would be levying a charge of Rs 13.48 for each transaction.
Goyal said that candidates could use their debit/credit cards of any bank from Lok Mitra, Cyber cafes or from any convenient place in the state.
Tomar said that the commission had recently introduced BAR CODED Optical Mark Raeder (OMR) outer sheet for conventional examinations like HAS, HJS, SAS, ACFs etc. which would enable in maintaining a complete secrecy.
This would save the drudgery of writing fictitious roll numbers on answers sheets as is the existing system, said Tomar.
“The State Accounts Service (SAS) examination conducted in October, 2013 was with OMR answer sheets,” he said.
