Shimla: To overcome the problem of recharging mobiles for staying connected, government telephony service provider BSNL that operates one of the largest networks in Himachal Pradesh has come up with an innovative scheme, by introducing the female retailer scheme in the city.
Under this scheme, any women residing in the city can register under the scheme as a female retailer and she would be allowed to work as a BSNL agent.
For each recharge provided by the female retailer, the BSNL management has decided to permit a commission charge of 4.5 percent.
Speaking about the scheme MC Singh, additional manager BSNL says, “this scheme will not only solve the problem of accessing a retail recharge provider in your locality but it would also provide more avenues for self employment.
