Shimla: Student Central Association of Himachal Pradesh University are to hold a mega cultural event on 27th and 28th September, 2013, in the University Auditorium.
Piyush Sewal SCA secretary of HPU said, “Many students are imbibed with a lot of talent and these types of event provide them a platform to showcase their talent. At the cultural fest students will perform folk, drama and dance sequences.”
“Besides district specific items, culture of neighboring states will be also performed as there are a lot of students from other states studying in the university.” he added.
Last year about 650 students had taken part in cultural activity and 65 items were presented by them. Cultural events provide great opportunities for students to interact with each other and to work with a team spirit.
Sewal said that students who come from different places of Himachal Pradesh are tending to forget their culture. We need to preserve our culture as it has evolved over thousands of years that all must be proud of.
