Kanyakumari, June 26 (IANS) The Sub-Junior (Cadet) National Wrestling Championship will be held here at St. Antony School Ground June 27-30.
The tournament is being organised by the Tamil Nadu State Amateur Wrestling Association under the aegis of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
The championship will held in boys freestyle, Greco-Roman style and girls freestyle wrestling in the 42kg, 46kg, 50kg, 54kg, 58kg, 63kg, 69kg, 76kg, 85kg and 100 kg weight categories.
About 600 wrestlers and 300 coaches/managers/technical officials from 27 affiliated associations will participate in the championship.
The wrestlers who win gold, silver and bronze will be selected for participation in the national coaching camp which will be held from July 8.
