New Delhi, May 12 (IANS) Defender Tuli Goon will be leading a 23-member Indian women’s football team for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers to be held in Palestine May 21-25.
Mid-fielder Sasmita Malik of the Railways has been named as Tuli’s deputy.
India are in Group D and open their campaign against Myanmar, May 21. They next face Chinese Taipei, May 23; and hosts Palestine, May 25. The matches will be played at the Faisal Al Huseni Stadium in West Bank.
India will be playing two preparatory matches against Bahrain, May 14 and 16.
