President to visit Maharashtra from May 31

New Delhi, May 30 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee will undertake a two-day visit starting May 31 to Maharashtra, where he will be attending several functions, an official statement said Thursday.

The president will attend the commemoration function of the 120th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s voyage from Gateway of India to the West, organised by the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission at Mumbai May 31.

He will also attend the seventh convocation of the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) at Pune.

The president will attend the valedictory function of the golden jubilee of Dayanand Education Society at Latur on June 1, and also visit the Shree Sai Baba Mandir at Shirdi that day.
