Shimla: Two couples and the driver of a car were killed on the spot when the driver lost control near an army camp close to Jhakri in Satluj River valley, whereas two children aged 9 and 11 survived, are injured and have been admitted to hospital for emergency treatment.
Police spokesman Mangat Ram, who is the SHO of Jhakri police station said that the car (HP 01H 1070) lost control near Army Camp Gasso (Shisheli Nala) and two couples, Karam Dass (39) his wife Rampyare (30), Bhagwan Dass (33) his wife Subhadra (Pinkey) (27), who were residents of Kalpa in Kinnnaur district and driver Ashiesh (26), a resident of Nadaun in Hamirpur district died on the spot.
Two children Rohit (9) son of Bhagwan Das and Krishan (11) son of Karam Dass have been injured in the accident, he said.
Police hold that the accident took place because of negligent driving.
