Shimla: Bad road conditions around Rohru claimed three lives in three accidents today leaving two others with serious injuries.
A police spokesman said that Prem Kumar was killed on the spot when a multipurpose pick-up vehicle (HP-03D-0814) met with an. Two others, Balwant Singh and Prem have sustained injuries and had been admitted to hospital.
A case under Rohru police station had been registered as the accident occurred on the Rohru to Shimla road.
In another case registered yesterday at the same police station, a truck (HP-10B-1086) lost control and rolled down the hillside. Driver of the truck Ramesh Kumar was killed on the spot.
In the third accident that also happened yesterday morning, Arjun driver of a tractor (HP-33B-3843) died on the spot in an accident that happened near Chhachhi Dhar under Rohru police station.
Just two days ago on August 1, five people had died on the spot in a road accident near Khara Pattar under Jubbal subdivision when the vehicle lost control and had plunged into the valley.
