Shimla: Showers were reported in some parts of Himachal Pradesh Sunday, bringing some respite from the heat. More rain has been forecast in the next few days.
Shimla, which saw 7.8 mm of rain since Saturday, recorded a maximum of 28.4 degrees Celsius.
Kalpa, a picturesque town 250 km from here, recorded a maximum temperature of 27.2 degrees Celsius. It was 37.4 degrees in Dharamsala and 34.8 degrees in Nahan.
Dharamsala saw the highest rainfall in the state at 44 mm.
“Western disturbances will remain active in the state till June 28, bringing more rain and thundershowers,” a Met office statement said here.
