Chandigarh: At least seven people were killed and 13 others injured Wednesday in an accident involving three vehicles in Haryana’s Jind district, 160 km from here, police said.
The accident took place when a mini truck was overtaking a van and collided head on with a jeep coming from the opposite direction.
Police officials said the van driver also lost control over his vehicle and collided with the other two vehicles.
The police officials said most of those killed were travelling in the van. The victims were returning from a wedding function in Punjab.
The injured were rushed to the civil hospital in Jind town.
The jeep occupants were also returning from a marriage function in Punjab’s Bathinda town.
