Citizen Journalist Sanjeet Chahal tells the Hill Post about his bad experience with HRTC and wants the authorities to take necessary action , in his own words :
I want to bring in to your notice the public manhandling done by the Himachal roadways transport corporation staff.
I was threatened and man handled by HRTC bus staff while travelling from Delhi to Shimla on 8th of March , 2012 by Bus no -HP-03 B-6045 .
As the bus left from Delhi at 9 pm the driver was driving rashly . Soon while changing lane for diverting to Karnal road he hit a motorcyclist who was riding with a lady .
I saw the lady rolling on the road. To report this I rushed to the driver to stop and check but instead of stopping the bus and taking necessary action . Both the driver and conductor started arguing and threatening me .
As the bus stopped after an hour at a dhaba near Karnal the conductor asked me to come out of the bus and started misbehaving with me .
Soon the driver also came in started manhandling me . I was lucky enough that some of the passers by were there and escaped , or else I would have been thrashed by the HRTC staff badly . If I hadn’t escaped I would have been seriously injured by them .
I want to tell the HRTC authorities to take action against these two people immediately or else I will tell everybody I know not to travel by HRTC buses !
