Himachal govt school kids to get free uniform

Shimla : Free school uniform will be provided to government school children in Himachal Pradesh the state cabinet decided here Monday .

The scheme will be called ‘atal school uniform scheme’ and will provide two pairs of school uniform one in April and the other in October during each academic session from class 1 to class 10 for all categories of students .

A high level committee has also been formed to implement this plan and will come into force from April this year , a spokesman of the government said here .

The cabinet also decided to sell electricity available to the government of Himachal on account of equity participation in the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri hydro power station on yearly basis through bidding process .

Permission was granted to the Himachal power transmission corporation ltd to enhance its share capital limit from the existing Rs 50 crore to Rs 150 crore besides enhancing borrowing limit of paid up capital and free deposit beyond Rs 1 crore .

It was also decided to implement ‘Himachal e-stamping rule ,2010’ beyond the districts of Shimla and Solan to cover the entire state in a phased manner by authorising stock holding corporation of India Ltd .

Approval was granted to the proposal of HP Power Corporation LTD for creation of separate category of project affected family namely for Renuka dam project in Sirmaur district .

It was also decided to extend the date of approval of dead stems of pine deodar trees in different parts of the state .
