Heavy snow at Dalhousie cancels Lootera film shoot

Dalhousie: The Ranveer Singh – Sonakshi Sinha starer Lootera had to abandon a shooting schedule in Dalhousie as an unexpectedly heavy snowfall hit the tourist town.

While the fist schedule of the film was shot in December, 2011 in Mumbai, the crew had reached Dalhousie and was ready for the shoot when foul cold weather upset it. The unit returns to Mumbai.

Media quoted film co-producer Vikas Bahl of Phantom Productions saysing, “Snow created havoc. We are assessing the situation.”

With the Himachal shooting schedule waiting re-scheduling, the unit is to move to Kolkata from Mumbai for shooting the next schedule.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Lootera is a classic period romantic thriller with the music composed by Amit Trivedi.

The film pairs Ranveer and Sonakshi for the first time.
