Shimla : The death toll has risen to fifteen after a bus skidded of an icy road in Himachal Pradesh’s Shimla district in the remote Chopal region, Nineteen have been injured officials said Friday .
The state roadways bus was on its way from Chopal to Dharchana when it rolled down a hill side near Nerwa some 125 km from here.
The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals , said Onkar Sharma , deputy commissioner Shimla.
Last week Shimla district received the heaviest spell of snowfall in six years in January . Most of the snow cleared roads are prone to ice formation and skidding.
