CPM for probe into Himachal pulses scandal

Shimla : The CPIM today demanded an investigation into the pulses scandal in Himachal Pradesh and has asked the ruling BJP to desist from washing off its dirty hands that are drenched in corruption .

“This scandal has caused an estimated loss of Rs 50 crore to the state exchequer due to nexus of the state government and a few top officials and a business dealer ,” Tikender Panwar of the CPM alleged .

The CPM has asked for the immediate resignation of the civil supplies minister Ramesh Dhawala who owes direct responsibility and also the vice chairperson of civil supplies department .

The party further stated that the government needs to explain the recent arrest of a relative of a BJP leader in Kangra for supplying ration material in the open market .
