Shimla : Dismissing the talk of carving out a new district out of Kangra district a nervous Himachal Pradesh government reacted fast Saturday saying there was no such plan .
A spokesman of the P.K.Dhumal led BJP government said here that “there was no such plan to create new districts by the state government.â€
“The development of Kangra district is always a priority agenda of the Dhumal government and will continue to be so ,†said the spokesman .
Newspaper reports on Saturday quoted a minister in the Dhumal government as saying that there was a proposal to carve a new district out of Kangra , the state’s most populous district .
Reports quoted another minister of the Dhumal government saying he would not allow the further breaking away of Kangra district .
