No agreement at all-party meet on Lokpal bill

New Delhi : There was no consensus on some key provisions of the Lokpal bill at an all-party meet that debated the contentious issue for three hours today evening.

The all-party meet on Lokpal bill called by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh concluded after 10 p.m. There was no consensus on issues like bringing the CBI under the Lokpal.

Reports said , the government has told the leaders of the political parties that it will revert to them in a few days afer internal consultations.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, senior BJP leader L.K. Advani and leaders of other parties attended the meeting.
