Shimla : A three year old girl has been killed by a leopard in the Nankhari area of Shimla district.
The girl was waiting for her mother who was milking a cow at dusk when the girl suddenly went missing.
Her family members and fellow villagers looked for the girl all night and found the body in the nearby forest in the morning . They claimed the body bore leopard bite and claw marks.
The state forest department has launched a hunt for the killer leopard and also announced an immediate relief of Rs 10,000 to the family of the victim.
Media reports said a child had been killed by the man- eater about a year ago in the area.
