Shimla : JK Tyre opened its first exclusive outlet in Himachal Pradesh Friday,raising the total number of retail outlets to 125 in 75 cities of India,company officials said.
Ramesh Dhawala, the state’s food minister inaugurated the showroom at Waknaghat on the busy Kalka-Shimla national highway some 20 km from the state capital.
“Our first outlet in Himachal is equipped with the state of the art of wheel servicing equipment which includes computerized 3-D aligner,†said Ajoy Shah, deputy manager, JK Tyre.
“The company plans to continuously expand its retail outlet network in other metros and mini metros and smaller towns of the country,†he said.
“JK Tyre has recently set up truck wheels outlets in Vijaywada,Ahmedabad and Nagpur to facilitate truck and bus radials,†said Shah.
JK Tyre is a leading four-wheeler tyre maker and claims to be the 19 th largest tyre maker in the world.
