If Anna fasts again so will I : Laxmi Chand

Shimla : Seventy nine year old Laxmi Chand the first man to sit on fast in support of social activist Anna Hazare says if Hazare protests again and so will he.

“If Anna Hazare or Baba Ramdev sit on fast against any social evil such as corruption and black money so will I,” said Hazare after breaking his fast on Shimla’s Ridge.

Besides rampant corruption he feels equally disturbed by the government’s failure to bring back money stashed away in Swiss banks among and other tax evasion havens across the globe.He is also is critical of the government to check price rise.

A retired government employee,Laxmi Chand belongs to Banh village of Solan district.He was the first to sit in support of Anna on the Ridge but day by day he was joined by many others.

Desh Raj in sat on fast with his supporters in Mandi town.There were jubilant scenes after Hazare broke his fast Sunday.

“It is victory of the common man,” said Desh Raj, an engineer.
