The Himachal assembly on Monday condoled the demise of Raj Krishan Gaur, a former minister, who died on March 18, 2011 after a brief illness at PGI Chandigarh, where he was admitted.
With the house resuming after a 9 day break, chief minister Dhumal led the house in remembering the contributions made by Gaur, who had remained a minister of congress government on two occasions.
Terming him as a Gandhian and a man of integrity, besides Dhumal, leader of the opposition Vidya Stokes, senior congressman Kaul Singh, BJP legislators Khimi Ram and Govind Thakur and also speaker Tulsi Ram also join in paying rich tributes to the departed leader. Later house observed a two minute silence to honour the departed soul.
