Dr. Rajeev Bindal, Health Minister said that 216 doctors had been appointed in Ayurveda department during last three years. He said that 82 doctors were recruited through H.P. Public Service Commission and remaining 134 doctors were appointed batch-wise.
1st ever Ayurveda Pharmacy College of North India had been made operational at Joginder Nagar in October last year.
Government has sanctioned 340 posts of Ayurveda doctors since 2008, wherein the process to fill up 164 posts of ayurveda doctors through HPPSC was continue besides 166 doctors would be recruited batch-wise.
