Shimla: Having successfully conducted the students outfit election, National Students Union of India (NSUI) president elect, Yadupati termed it as a party’s emphasis on democratic process that has allowed a student from a common family to head the organization.
Talking to the media he claimed that it was the first students’ body in the state to have conducted a transparent, free and fair election.
“All the elected persons working as a team would try and expand the NSUI base both in the university and colleges,†said Yadupati.
He added that adopting a democratic process to elect the president had enabled him, son of an ordinary farmer, to be able to serve the students community in such a manner.
To initiate newly elected members into working as a group, the national body of NSUI would train us, he said.
