Shimla: Sixty donors turned up at a camp organized by Young Men’s Christian Association, Shimla along with Umang Foundation, an NGO, at the Christ Church on The Ridge today to donate life saving blood for Thallesemic children.
Convener of Umang Foundation, Ajai Srivastava donated blood for 76th time and Pratap Singh Thakur a regular donor did so for the 45th time.
Vasu Dev Kuthiala, also a donor at today’s camp and was donating blood for the 151th occasion said, “the donors were from all sections of society and had come forward for a common cause.â€
Many among the donors included women and there were several first time donors also.
