Amarjit Singh, the government official, was reportedly driving on a restricted road for common traffic to drop off his children at a day school that had irked the morning walkers, which led to an argument.
However, Singh did get to drop the children at school but while he was returning, the walkers again encountered the vehicle.
A heated argument is believed to have taken place which allegedly resulted in Singh getting beaten by batons that the walkers were reportedly carrying, police said.
