Changing candidate has put BJP on back foot in Himachal – Kaul Singh

kaul-sing-addressing-mediaShimla: Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee today welcomed the Congress High Command move to change Hamirpur Parliamentary ticket.

Kaul Singh Thakur, HPCC Chief, at a conference call today said that AICC’s second decision would put BJP on back foot as Narinder Thakur, who recently joined Congress was not only a former BJP man but was also a son of stalwart, late Jagdev Thakur, a formidable leader of the region.

He said that to support Narinder Thakur in his election youth congress leader Rahaul Gandhi, senior congress leader Mosina Kadwai, film star Priety Zinta, former cricketer Kapil Dev and Madan Lal would campaign in the constituency.

The congress president was critical about BJP government for being indecisive about selecting the site for setting up of a central university in the state.

The BJP government in the state was only basking on reflected glory as it was only taking undue credits of the schemes and programs of the UPA government, he said.
