Shimla: Congress, states principal opposition party on Tuesday is to hold a protest ‘Jan Akrosh Rally’ outside the Vidhan Sabha highlighting all the unpopular decisions taken by the Dhumal government in the last year, party spokesman Kuldeep Rathore stated.
He said that the rally would be addressed by the state party leadership, which included former chief minister Virbhadra Singh, leader of the opposition Vidya Stokes, congress president Thakur Kaul Singh and others.
Issues like victimising opposition leaders by implicating them in false cases, dismissing PTA teachers, collapse of public distribution system, providing substandard rations to people, shortages in meeting fertilizer and pesticide needs of farmers, bulldozing through the budget proposals in a shortened sessions and other issues would be to raised, said Rathore.
