Dhumal Invites Tatas To Himachal

Shimla: With Ratan Tata threatening to quit Singur following continued unrest at the Nano factory, chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal has invited the group to make investments in state and avail tax benefits under the special incentives provided.

Citing availability of uninterrupted power, skilled and managerial human resource and a peaceful environment as conducive for a healthy industrial environment, Dhumal said that the state would stand to benefit from the expertise of a reputed group like Tata’s.

The chief minister said that the group in Himachal would not have to face the kind of situation it was facing in West Bengal.

We would welcome investments from the Tata Group of Companies in the State and all facilities would be provided by the state government,” said Dhumal.

  • i dont think this is a good idia as our state cant do this when we can see the problemes with power proje how com we even Invites Tatas to himachal…. in himachal there is only boot licking people can come…

    • hydro is doing good business in himachal but you r right in to say boot licking people can do good in himachal……

  • Good to see that Govt is taking some initiatives to attract big businesses in the state. However, mere statements in the press will not do the job. The Govt officers should come up with proposal citing the details of the offers to the Tata goup and approach him personally. Like what type of land, electrical power, and transport connectivity. The plant would generate lots of revenue for himachal as well as many other benefits because TATA group is known to be the only honest business group in this country.

  • goverment of himachal is non friendly with any business sec. it has given its way in the hydro power problem in himachal like brakel corporation.

  • super funny…how the hell Dhumal can even thin to invite tata in himachal as our state rules are relay odd …non friendly
