Prem Kumar Dhumal, the Chief Minister today disclosed that the Centre Government has sanctioned 46 new additional engineering seats in various prestigious technical institutes of India for bonafide Himachali students however the notification will be issued in a week’s time.
These additional seats have been sanctioned following persistent demand of the Himachal government to maintain the state’s quota at par with previous years in the engineering colleges, which was curtailed due to new admission procedure adopted by Central Government. He declared that the top officials of state government and H O D’s will be sent to Delhi to hold detailed discussions with concerned Central Government Departments and Ministries to understand the various ongoing development schemes and projects of Government of India.
Earlier, various officers presented the list of the schemes available with concerned Ministries and assured that they will contribute maximum for the sanction of the developmental schemes of the State.
