State government to adopt open door policy-Dhumal

Chief Minister P.K.Dhumal said that the state Government would take to the open door policy so as to facilitate the entrepreneurs keen to invest in H.P. which would offer them best of the services for their industrial plans. He was addressing the Himachal Pradesh State Annual General Session: 2007-08 and Session on Fresh Investments – Impetus to Growth; Focus on Tourism, Hydro Power and Industry organized under Himachal Pradesh Unit of the Confederation of the Indian Industry.

He said that the administration would interact with the industrialists to seek a way out for their genuine problems, ensure quality basic infrastructure to them within the State, evolve a mechanism for evacuation of the generated power from power house to the grid by calling for the services of the transmission experts to construct consolidated structure in order to prevent clogging of transmission tower lines.

He further declared that efforts were made to harness the identified hydro potential of the State and that the government has tied up with the Punjab Government to provide 300MW of power during lean season of winter months. Efforts are being made to organize a joint meeting of the administration, industrialists and truck operators to sort out various disputes like transportation and ensure best laws for the safety of the workers, he added.
